  • gatherings only allowed when limited to two housholds AND a maximum of 10 people
  • no party allowed in private as well as in public room

  • retail trade remains open under hygiene conditions
- Culture and leisure facilities closed -
  • theatres, operas, concert halls, as well as museums

Robert Koch Institute (RKI)
The RKI is the central institution of the German Federal Government for disease surveillance and protection. The RKI is in this Corona pandemic time especially relevant for us. It summarizes continuously the current situation, evaluate all information and the risk for the residents in Germany.

Federal Ministry of Health
This website on Covid-19 from the Federal Ministry of Health summarizes all important information regarding the pandemic. Here you can find serious advices as well as information in the pandemic times. 

Federal Foreign Office
This page of the Federal Foreign Office can keep you updated of all current travel restrictions of other countries as well as information concerning restrictions for entry into Germany under the circumstance of the Corona pandemic.

Federal Government Commission for Migration, Refugees and Integration

FAQs


- Entry into Germany and international risk areas -

On the website of RKI, you can find the current list with all current Corona risk areas for Germany.

The Federal Foreign Office offers constantly current information about restrictions of entry into Germany.

The entry must be reported at www.einreiseanmeldung.de. For more information to the digital report please refer to the information page from Federal Ministry of Health.

If you arrive without a corona test, you will have to go into a 10-day quarantine after your arrival in Germany. At the earliest on the fifth day after your arrival, you are allowed to do a corona test in your place of residence. With a negative test result you may end the quarantine immediately.

The entry must be registered at www.einreiseanmeldung.de. More information can be found on the information page of the Federal Ministry of Health.

If you want to be released from a 10-day quarantine immediately, you have to call the public health department in Freiburg to find out whether your corona test result is valid. The telephone number is: +49 (0)761 2187 3003 and the public health department is available from Monday to Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Friday from 8 a.m. to 12 noon.

Until the question is clarified, we would kindly ask you to avoid contact with others.

- After contact with a Covid-19 infected person -

There are three categories for Covid-19 contact persons. With a contact in the category I, the risk for an infection could be high. 

Here at the website of RKI, you can find the definition of the three categories [only in German]. 

If you are not sure, which category you belong to and what you should do after having contact with a Covid-19 positive person, please call your family doctor. Alternatively, you can also call the Medical On-Call Service with the number +49 116 117, or the Health Office of the City Freiburg under the number +49 (0)761 2187 3003 (Mon-Thu 8 a.m. - 4 p.m., as well as Fri 8-12 a.m.).

First of all, there is no need to panic.

What you can do are the followings:

1) recall how close was the contact;
2) exam whether you have symptoms;
3) please stay at home and try to avoid contact with other people;
4) if you have a family doctor in Freiburg, call him or her in order to figure out the situation for yourself;
    if you have no family doctor in Freiburg, please call the Health Office of City Freiburg for further suggestions. The phone number of is: +49 (0)761 2187 3003 and you can reach them Mon-Thu 8 a.m.-4 p.m., as well as Fri 8-12 a.m.. Out of the consultation hours of the Health Office, you can also call the Medical On-Call Service unter the number +49 116 117.
