Thema
Performance Project with Maya Schwartz
Teacher language: English
Together with dancer, choreographer and teacher Maya Schwartz, participants will explore contemporary dance and discover how a dance piece is created from an initial idea.
Through movement research, improvisation and different contemporary dance practices such as Release Technique and Contact Improvisation, the group will develop their own material and explore a common topic. The focus is on the creative process: How do we create movement? How can individual ideas become a shared piece? And how can we communicate something through dance?
The project is open to different levels of experience. Participants will work together to develop a short performance piece, which will be presented at the end of the project at the Mensa Bar.
