Approximately 16% of students study with a disability that makes studying more difficult. Individualized, needs-based counseling is an essential part of ensuring equal opportunities in higher education. The Studierendenwerk Freiburg supports you in this regard.
The social counselling service offers you free advice tailored to your needs. We are in contact with representatives from the universities and can provide you with independent advice on topics such as disadvantage compensation
If you are eligible for BAföG, you can claim special needs, such as an extended standard period of study or adjusted allowances. Please note, however, that this will not change your BAföG eligibility.
Our Mensas serve freshly prepared meals daily. If you have any food intolerances, please talkto the staff. All allergens and additives that must be declared are marked on the daily menu. Further information can be found here.

We offer rooms für different needs at several dormitories in Freiburg.
This includes specially equipped units for deaf, visually impaired and mobility-impaired students.
