Approximately 16% of students study with a disability that makes studying more difficult. Individualized, needs-based counseling is an essential part of ensuring equal opportunities in higher education. The Studierendenwerk Freiburg supports you in this regard.

Barrier-free housing

Our halls of residence have been checked for accessibility and comprehensively documented.

In Freiburg, we offer barrier-free housing for different needs in the Studentendorf Vauban, in Berliner Allee, in Händelstraße, in the Student Settlement as well as on the campus at the Technical Faculty.

In Offenburg, there is also a wheelchair-accessible flat available in St.-Martin-Straße.

There is one flat each for the deaf and visually impaired in the student settlement at Seepark.

Cafeteria

Our cafeterias serve freshly prepared meals every day. If you have any food intolerances, please speak to the staff on site. All allergens and additives that must be declared are marked on the daily menu. You can find more information here.

Residence

We offer accommodation units for different needs in several student residences in Freiburg.
Barrier-free accommodation is available in the Vauban student village, on Berliner Allee, on Händelstraße, in the student housing complex, and on the campus of the Faculty of Engineering. This includes specially equipped units for deaf people, people with visual impairments, and students with walking disabilities.
