BAföG further funding applications

For all students who applied for BAföG from the SWFR last winter and/or summer semester (including those for whom no funding amount was calculated) and whose BAföG approval period (BWZ) ends in August or September 2024, we would like to point out the following: 

To ensure that your entitlement is secured from September or October 2024, you should submit your BAföG application for the subsequent period in full to us as soon as possible. If the application for continued funding is only submitted shortly before the start of the winter semester 2024/2025, longer processing times must unfortunately be expected due to the increased number of applications and the tight staffing situation.

The forms for the BAföG application are available in the Studierendenwerk information desk or can be found in the sidebar. The calculation is based on the parents' income from the calendar year 2022.

From the 5th semester onwards, educational support will only be granted upon presentation of a positive performance record. (If you are unable to submit a positive certificate, please contact the BAföG office in good time).

If your studies are terminated or interrupted prematurely, you must notify us in good time.
