Review 2025
From 4th to 18th August 2025, 15 students from the Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) in Beijing, China, were guests at a summer academy in Freiburg. The programme included German conversation courses, cultural experiences through encounters with Freiburg students, intercultural workshops and excursions in Freiburg and the surrounding area, as well as to Strasbourg, Stuttgart and Basel.
From 1st to 16th September 2025, 15 Freiburg students visited Beijing and the BIT on a study trip. During their two-week stay, the participants not only visited important Beijing sights such as the Imperial Palace and the Great Wall. The programme also allowed them to experience the Chinese language and culture first-hand through language courses and various workshops. The programme was accompanied by many participants from the Freiburg Summer Academy, resulting in intensive contact between the Freiburg and Chinese students.
