Study Trip China
As part of its partnership with the Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT), the Studierendenwerk Freiburg offers the opportunity to get to know China "from inside":
- University, culture, economy and politics
- Intensive encounters with Chinese students
- Touristic highlights in Beijing
Students from the public universities in Freiburg, Offenburg/Gengenbach, Furtwangen, Villingen-Schwenningen, Lörrach and Kehl are cordially invited to attend.
The maximum number of participants is up to 15 people.
Review 2026
From 3rd to 18th August 2026, 15 students from the Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) in Beijing, China, were guests at a summer academy in Freiburg. The programme included German conversation courses, cultural experiences through encounters with Freiburg students, intercultural workshops and excursions in Freiburg and the surrounding area, as well as to Strasbourg, Stuttgart and Basel.
From 7th to 22th September 2026, 15 Freiburg students visited Beijing and the BIT on a study trip. During their two-week stay, the participants not only visited important Beijing sights such as the Imperial Palace and the Great Wall. The programme also allowed them to experience the Chinese language and culture first-hand through language courses and various workshops. The programme was accompanied by many participants from the Freiburg Summer Academy, resulting in intensive contact between the Freiburg and Chinese students.
