Studentensiedlung am Seepark

Our student village “Studentensiedlung am Seepark” is the largest contiguous dormitory complex operated by the Studierendenwerk Freiburg and is also one of the largest student housing complexes in Germany. Thanks to its unique location directly on Lake Flückiger, it combines a natural living environment with the advantages of a central location in Freiburg. Here we are offering a number of different types of apartments and flat-sharing communities, from 2 to 8 students or up to 12 students on the same floor with common kitchen and sanitary facilities.

For families, who submit a "Wohnberechtigungsschein" from Baden-Württemberg we have a number of 2- and 3-room flats in our houses no 10 and 12. In addition we offer a small number of flats in house no 30, 52 and no 54.

Most parts of the Studentensiedlung has been inaugurated in the 1960s but all of them are renovated lately. All rooms have internet access and from some of the buildings you have an awesome view over the park and the lake. In the next years the "Studentensiedlung" will be further expanded, for example the buildings No. 74 A, B and C and other new houses.

The "StuSie-Bar" is legendary and the vast number of leisure and sport facilities is a welcome change to the studies.

By bike or by tram the city center is reachable within 10 minutes.

339,00 – 505,00 € for a single apartment (with own kitchen an bathroom)

598,00 – 627,00 € for a 2-room family flat
699,00 – 780,00 € for a 3-room family flat
(rents increase due to gratuated rents)

The rent includes all additional costs, that means electricity, water, heating, garbage and internet fee.

Direction to the dormitory Studentensiedlung am Seepark:

• You will find a tram stop on the bridge, which crosses the main train station.
• Take tram no. 1, directing “Landwasser”.
• Get off at the fourth stop: “Am Bischofskreuz”. You will find the Studentensiedlung only a few meters away on the other side of the tram station.
