We’re excited to welcome you to the Studierendenwerk Freiburg (SWFR) residence hall! Our dorm mentoring program (WM) helps you settle in quickly and make new friends.

Our dedicated dorm mentors are here to support you as you take your first steps in Freiburg. Whether you have questions about German bureaucracy, need help integrating, or simply want to meet new people—we’re here for you!

Through shared leisure activities, the WM encourages residents to get to know one another, form new friendships, and thus helps foster a sense of community in the dorms.

What do we offer?

• Welcome and information sessions: Get to know your roommates, your dorm, and the surrounding area.
• Support with questions and problems: We’ll help you with any questions or issues regarding the dorm, college life, or bureaucracy.
• Help with integration: Become part of our vibrant dorm community.
• Exciting activities and events in the semester program: Look forward to painting nights, field trips, sports events, and much more!

The WM is specifically aimed at all (international) newcomers to the dorm.

ALL residents are invited anyway! – Often across different dorms.
